The Newman Greenies smashed the visiting Riverside Academy Rebels soccer team by a tally of 8-0 in Monday's league game.
Next, the Greenies face the St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) in a Division IV District 7 game, on Wednesday, January 8. Newman will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record.
The Rebels (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Pearl River (Pearl River, LA). The Rebels come into the non-league test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Pearl River achieved victory over Delta Charter (Ferriday, LA), 6-0, in a non-league test.
