In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains basketball team scored a big 62-34 triumph over the Central Falls Warriors.
The Chieftains (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Smithfield (North Smithfield, RI). The Northmen go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, North Smithfield smashed Blackstone Valley Prep (Cumberland, RI), 43-42, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Hope Blue Wave (Providence, RI) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Central Falls will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Blue Wave go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 46-35 non-league win over Providence Country Day (East Providence, RI).
