Illinois High School Basketball - Granite City knocked off by Marquette Catholic

The Marquette Catholic Explorers basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Granite City Warriors to 48 in the Explorers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Explorers now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 8. Marquette Catholic will battle a Cyclones team coming off a 84-69 league win over MacArthur (Decatur, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 16-2.
The Warriors (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Normal West (Normal, IL). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Normal West ran past Champaign Central (Champaign, IL), 47-42, in a league contest.
