Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Choctawhatchee Indians (Fort Walton Beach, FL) and the visiting West Florida Jaguars (Pensacola, FL), saw Choctawhatchee's basketball squad hold off West Florida by a count of 39-35.
With the victory, Choctawhatchee upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Rutherford (Panama City, FL) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Rams come into the battle with a record of 15-2. Rutherford won 56-46 in their recent league battle against Marianna (Marianna, FL)
The Jaguars (6-11) will now prepare for their battle against Escambia (Pensacola, FL). The Gators come into the non-league battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Escambia was nudged by Navarre (Navarre, FL), 70-4, in a league battle.
