In Friday's non-league match, the visiting South Allegheny Gladiators basketball team scored a tight 53-52 triumph over the Mt. Pleasant Vikings.
In their next game, the Gladiators meet the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 match, on Monday, January 10. South Allegheny will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record.
With the defeat, Mt. Pleasant moves to 2-5 on the year. The Vikings travel to Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA) to meet the Gators in a non-league match on Saturday, January 8. The Gators enter the match with a record of 2-7. Geibel Catholic lost 50-16 in their recent league match against Mapletown (Greensboro, PA)
