AHSTW Vikings (Avoca, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA), 76-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, AHSTW upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Vikings host Riverside (Oakland, IA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Riverside won 72-50 in their recent league bout against Logan-Magnolia (Logan, IA)

Next up, the Bombers clash with the Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA) in a Raccoon River bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Ballard will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record.
