The Alcester-Hudson Cubs basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Avon Pirates to 45 in the Cubs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cubs now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Viborg/Hurley for a B Region 4 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Alcester-Hudson will meet a Cougars team coming off a 43-33 non-league win over Hanson (Alexandria, SD). The Cougars record now stands at 4-1.
