New Mexico High School Basketball - Portales over Andrews

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Portales Rams (Portales, NM) and the visiting Andrews Mustangs (Andrews, TX), saw Portales's basketball squad overcome Andrews by a tally of 57-48.

With the victory, Portales improves its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Texico (Texico, NM) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 10-5.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Greenwood Rangers (Midland, TX) in a 4A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Andrews will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 16-7 record after their 53-40 non-league loss to Cooper (Lubbock, TX).
