Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons (Parkersburg, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA), 86-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Aplington-Parkersburg upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Falcons host East Marshall (Le Grand, IA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 1-8. East Marshall lost 76-49 in their recent league bout against Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Panorama Panthers (Panora, IA) in a West Central bout, on Friday, January 13. Van Meter will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record.
