In Saturday's non-league match, the host Federal Hocking Lancers basketball team scored a good 71-60 triumph over the Athens Bulldogs.

In their next game, the Lancers meet the Southern Tornadoes (Racine, OH) in a Tri-Valley II match, on Friday, January 13. Federal Hocking will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record.

With the defeat, Athens moves to 3-8 on the year. The Bulldogs host Wellston (Wellston, OH) to meet the Golden Rockets in a Tri-Valley I match on Tuesday, January 10. The Golden Rockets enter the match with a record of 4-6. Wellston won 66-50 in their recent league match against River Valley (Bidwell, OH)
