Georgia High School Basketball - McIntosh County Academy routs Atkinson County

January 7, 2023: Pearson, GA 31642

In Saturday's non-league outing, the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), by a margin of 75-47.

The Buccaneers (4-9) will now prepare for their outing against Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The War Eagles go into the A D2 Region 3 outing with a 12-1 record. In their last outing, Jenkins County smashed Metter (Metter, GA), 59-20, in a non-league outing.

The Rebels now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they host Lanier County for a A D2 Region 2 outing on Tuesday, January 10. Atkinson County will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 76-34 non-league loss to Ware County (Waycross, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-7.

McIntosh County Academy
