In Saturday's non-league outing, the Brick Memorial Mustangs (Brick, NJ) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ), by a margin of 75-44.
The Mustangs (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Toms River South (Toms River, NJ). The Indians go into the Shore C - North outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Toms River South was trounced by Toms River North (Toms River, NJ), 54-37, in a league outing.
The Garnet Gulls now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Keansburg for a Shore B - Central outing on Tuesday, January 10. Point Pleasant Beach will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 55-31 league loss to Asbury Park (Asbury Park, NJ). The Titans record now stands at 3-3.
