Cumberland County Panthers (Burkesville, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Burgin Bulldogs (Burgin, KY), 77-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cumberland County upgrades its record to 3-9 on the season. The Panthers travel to Clinton County (Albany, KY) to play the Bulldogs in a District 16 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Clinton County lost 65-64 in their recent league bout against Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Burgin will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Briar Jumpers go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 65-63 league win over Casey County (Liberty, KY).
