Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS) and the host Choctaw County Chargers (Ackerman, MS), saw Northeast Lauderdale's basketball squad hold off Choctaw County by a count of 61-60.
With the victory, Northeast Lauderdale upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Trojans host Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS) to play the Whippets in a 4A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Whippets come into the challenge with a record of 1-10. Kosciusko lost 45-43 in their recent league challenge against Louisville (Louisville, MS)
Next up, the Chargers play the Philadelphia Tornadoes (Philadelphia, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Choctaw County will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record.
