Dakota Indians (Dakota, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Polo Marcos (Polo, IL), 50-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dakota upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Indians host Warren (Warren, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, January 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Warren won 49-47 in their recent non-league bout against Black Hawk (South Wayne, WI)

Next up, the Marcos play the Milledgeville Missiles (Milledgeville, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Polo will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Missiles go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 59-36 league win over Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL).
