The Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA), 66-63 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Greyhounds (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA). The Titans go into the Eastern test with a 6-1 record.
The Hornets now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Arcadia for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 11. Deep Creek will encounter a Firebirds squad coming off a 80-46 non-league win over Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA). The Firebirds record now stands at 4-7.
