Lafayette Christian Academy Knights (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), 61-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lafayette Christian Academy upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Knights travel to North Vermilion (Maurice, LA) to clash with the Patriots in a 4A District 4 bout on Friday, January 27. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Northside Vikings (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. East Ascension will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 71-38 non-league win over Lafayette (Lafayette, LA).
