Eatonville Cruisers (Eatonville, WA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rainier Mountaineers (Rainier, WA), 69-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eatonville upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Cruisers travel to Tenino (Tenino, WA) to clash with the Beavers in a 1A Evergreen bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Beavers go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Tenino lost 68-53 in their recent non-league bout against Chief Leschi (Puyallup, WA)

Next up, the Mountaineers clash with the Toutle Lake Ducks (Toutle, WA) in a 2B Central bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Rainier will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Ducks go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 70-24 league win over Kalama (Kalama, WA).
