The Franklin Warriors basketball team (Somerset, NJ), dropped 76-65 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting South Plainfield Tigers (South Plainfield, NJ)
The Tigers now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sayreville for a Greater Middlesex - White battle on Tuesday, January 10. South Plainfield will battle a Bombers team coming off a 68-55 league loss to North Brunswick (North Brunswick, NJ). The Bombers record now stands at 2-8.
The Warriors (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hunterdon Central (Flemington, NJ). The Red Devils come into the Skyland - Delaware battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Hunterdon Central prevailed over Haddon Township (Westmont, NJ), 69-49, in a non-league battle.
