South Carolina High School Basketball - Heathwood Hall Episcopal can't hold off Varsity Opponent

January 7, 2023: Columbia, SC 29201

The Varsity Opponent basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders to 50 in the non-league victory on Saturday.

The now sport a 192-637 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kalamazoo Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Varsity Opponent will battle a Maroon Giants team coming off a 63-61 non-league win over Saginaw (Saginaw, MI). The Maroon Giants record now stands at 4-0.

The Highlanders (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Augusta Christian (Martinez, GA). The Lions come into the SCISA AAAA Region I contest with a 17-4 record. In their last contest, Augusta Christian edged Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC), 67-55, in a non-league contest.
