Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Holy Ghost Prep edges York Catholic

January 7, 2023: Bensalem, PA 19020

The Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds (Bensalem, PA) basketball nipped the visiting York Catholic Fighting Irish (York, PA), 58-51 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Firebirds (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Council Rock South (Holland, PA). The Golden Hawks go into the non-league test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, Council Rock South was tipped by Central Bucks West (Doylestown, PA), 53-33, in a non-league test.

The Fighting Irish now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Littlestown for a York-Adams 4 test on Tuesday, January 10. York Catholic will encounter a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 57-40 league win over York County Tech (York, PA). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 8-2.
