The Newark Yellowjackets basketball team (Newark, DE), was toppled 74-57 in Saturday's league battle with the host Howard Wildcats (Wilmington, DE)

The Wildcats now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Appoquinimink for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 10. Howard will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 71-57 league win over Delcastle Technical (Wilmington, DE). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-1.

The Yellowjackets (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Concord (Wilmington, DE). The Raiders come into the Blue Hen Flight - B battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Concord was toppled by Brandywine (Wilmington, DE), 46-41, in a league battle.
