The Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host Perry Commodores to 52 in the Thunderbirds non-league victory on Saturday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Van Wert for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10. Lima Central Catholic will battle a Cougars team coming off a 46-44 league loss to Wapakoneta (Wapakoneta, OH). The Cougars record now stands at 5-2.

The Commodores (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Upper Scioto Valley (McGuffey, OH). The Rams come into the Northwest Central contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Upper Scioto Valley prevailed over Ada (Ada, OH), 54-51, in a non-league contest.
