Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Litchfield Dragons (Litchfield, MN), 60-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Zumbrota-Mazeppa upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Cougars host Stewartville (Stewartville, MN) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Stewartville won 83-50 in their recent non-league bout against Park (Cottage Grove, MN)

Next up, the Dragons clash with the New London-Spicer Wildcats (New London, MN) in a AA Section 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Litchfield will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
