Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Marathon Olympians (Marathon, NY) and the host Unatego Spartans (Otego, NY), saw Marathon's basketball squad wallop Unatego by a tally of 64-35.

With the victory, Marathon improves its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Olympians host DeRuyter (DeRuyter, NY) to confront the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. DeRuyter won 81-57 in their recent league challenge against Brookfield Central (Brookfield, NY)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Unadilla Valley Storm (New Berlin, NY) in a Section 4 Midstate challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. Unatego will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record.
