The Scott Central Rebels tipped the visiting Morton Panthers basketball team by a final score of 50-46 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Rebels face the Pelahatchie Chiefs (Pelahatchie, MS) in a 2A Region 6 game, on Tuesday, January 10. Scott Central will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Chiefs enter the game with a 10-6 record after their 60-33 league win over Puckett (Puckett, MS).

With the defeat, Morton moves to 9-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Clarkdale (Meridian, MS) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 5 game on Tuesday, January 10. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 7-9.
