Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Norview Pilots (Norfolk, VA), 64-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Phoebus upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Phantoms travel to Gloucester (Gloucester, VA) to play the Dukes in a Peninsula bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Dukes come into the bout with a record of 1-8. Gloucester lost 60-49 in their recent league bout against Warwick (Newport News, VA)

Next up, the Pilots play the Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) in a Eastern bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Norview will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Comets come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 54-52 non-league win over Nandua (Onley, VA).
