The St. Michael the Archangel Guardians basketball team (Lee's Summit, MO), was nudged 44-41 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting St. Pius X Warriors (Kansas City, MO)

The Warriors now possess a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Barstow for a non-league battle on Friday, January 13. St. Pius X will confront a Knights team coming off a 65-41 non-league loss to St. James Academy (Lenexa, KS). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.

The Guardians (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Wakefield (The Plains, VA). The Fighting Owls come into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Wakefield was nudged by King Abdullah Academy (Herndon, VA), 74-57, in a league battle.
