Scotus Shamrocks (Columbus, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bishop Neumann Cavaliers (Wahoo, NE), 41-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Scotus upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Shamrocks host Norfolk Catholic (Norfolk, NE) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Norfolk Catholic won 36-33 in their recent non-league bout against Battle Creek (Battle Creek, NE)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (Hooper, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Bishop Neumann will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 50-43 non-league loss to Stanton (Stanton, NE).
