Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wilkinson County Warriors (Irwinton, GA), 51-13 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calhoun County upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Cougars host Terrell County (Dawson, GA) to play the Greenwave in a A D2 Region 1A bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Greenwave go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Terrell County lost 65-19 in their recent non-league bout against Monroe (Albany, GA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Georgia Military College Bulldogs (Milledgeville, GA) in a A D2 Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Wilkinson County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 43-18 league loss to Glascock County (Gibson, GA).
