The Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles basketball team (San Juan Capistrano, CA), was overwhelmed 71-25 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Paramount Pirates (Paramount, CA)

The Pirates now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Warren for a Gateway battle on Friday, January 13. Paramount will confront a Bears team coming off a 61-35 league loss to Downey (Downey, CA). The Bears record now stands at 7-11.

The Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Fairmont Prep (Anaheim, CA). The Huskies come into the San Joaquin battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, Fairmont Prep trounced St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA), 66-55, in a non-league battle.
