Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Pine Hill Warriors (Pine Hill, NM), 47-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cobre upgrades its record to 2-9 on the season. The Indians host Silver (Silver City, NM) to clash with the Fighting Colts in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Fighting Colts go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Silver lost 57-34 in their recent non-league bout against Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Native American Community Academy Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Pine Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 59-36 non-league loss to Zuni (Zuni, NM).
