Ohio High School Basketball - Vanlue tops Elgin

Vanlue Wildcats (Vanlue, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), 52-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Vanlue upgrades its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Pandora-Gilboa (Pandora, OH) to play the Rockets in a Putnam County bout on Thursday, January 12. The Rockets come into the bout with a record of 1-10.

Next up, the Comets play the Calvary Christian Spartans (Bellefontaine, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 48-12 league win over Christian Academy (Sidney, OH).
