South Dakota High School Basketball - Freeman Academy/Marion nudges Lower Brule

In Saturday's non-league outing, the Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD) basketball squad edged the visiting Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD), by a margin of 52-49.
The (3-4) will now prepare for their outing against Avon (Avon, SD). The Pirates go into the non-league outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Avon held off Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD), 37-28, in a non-league outing.
The Sioux now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sunshine Bible Academy for a B Region 6 outing on Tuesday, January 10. Lower Brule will clash with a Crusaders squad coming off a 63-20 non-league loss to Iroquois/Lake Preston (Iroquois, SD). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-5.
