In Saturday's non-league match, the host Grants Pass Cavemen basketball team scored a tight 41-37 triumph over the Nelson .
In their next game, the Cavemen meet the North Medford Black Tornado (Medford, OR) in a 6A Southwest match, on Tuesday, January 10. Grants Pass will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Black Tornado enter the match with a 5-7 record after their 34-33 non-league loss to Lake Oswego (Lake Oswego, OR).
With the defeat, Nelson moves to 4-4 on the year.
