The McDonell Central Macks basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Ladysmith Lumberjacks to 30 in the Macks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Macks now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cadott for a Cloverbelt - West contest on Tuesday, January 10. McDonell Central will battle a Hornets team coming off a 69-52 league win over Bloomer (Bloomer, WI). The Hornets record now stands at 12-0.

The Lumberjacks (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Cumberland (Cumberland, WI). The Beavers enter the Heart O'North contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Cumberland was routed by Hayward (Hayward, WI), 63-25, in a league contest.
