In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Waldwick Warriors basketball team scored a tight 41-37 triumph over the Lakeland Regional Lancers.
In their next game, the Warriors meet the Park Ridge Owls (Park Ridge, NJ) in a non-league match, on Monday, January 9. Waldwick will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record. The Owls enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 58-52 non-league loss to Saddle River Day (Saddle River, NJ).
With the defeat, Lakeland Regional moves to 4-2 on the year. The Lancers host West Milford (West Milford, NJ) to meet the Highlanders in a Big North - Independence match on Tuesday, January 10.
