In Saturday's non-league outing, the Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars (Montclair, NJ), by a count of 38-17.
With the win, Newark Academy upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Minutemen host Nutley (Nutley, NJ) to play the Maroon Raiders in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Maroon Raiders go into the bout with a record of 2-4.
