Omak Pioneers (Omak, WA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Tonasket Tigers (Tonasket, WA), 56-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Omak upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Cascade (Leavenworth, WA) to play the Kodiaks in a 1A Caribou Trail bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Kodiaks come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Tigers play the Lake Roosevelt Raiders (Coulee Dam, WA) in a 2B Central Washington bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Tonasket will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 59-56 non-league loss to Inchelium (Inchelium, WA).
