The Midland Valley Mustangs basketball team scored 30 points and held the visiting Augusta Christian Lions to 8 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Airport for a contest on Monday, January 9. Midland Valley will battle a Eagles team coming off a 16-9 league loss to Aiken (Aiken, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

The Lions (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cardinal Newman (Columbia, SC). The Cardinals enter the contest with a 1-3 record.
