California High School Soccer - Clovis nudges Madera

The Clovis Cougars soccer team scored 2 points and limited the host Madera Coyotes to 1 in the Cougars non-league victory on Saturday.

Next, the Cougars face the Central Grizzlies (Fresno, CA) in a Tri-Rivers contest, on Tuesday, January 10. Clovis will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Grizzlies enter the contest with a 3-10 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Edison (Fresno, CA).

The Coyotes now have a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edison for a CMAC/NYL contest on Wednesday, January 11. Madera will face a Tigers team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Central (Fresno, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 13-3.
