Alabama High School Basketball - Russell County holds off Central

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Russell County Warriors (Seale, AL) and the host Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL), saw Russell County's basketball squad hold off Central by a tally of 58-55.

With the victory, Russell County improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Park Crossing (Montgomery, AL) to confront the Thunderbirds in a challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Red Devils confront the Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Central will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
