Ponderosa Mustangs (Parker, CO) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Northfield Nighthawks (Denver, CO), 47-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ponderosa upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Thomas Jefferson (Denver, CO) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Thomas Jefferson lost 39-35 in their recent non-league bout against Columbine (Littleton, CO)

Next up, the Nighthawks play the Westminster Wolves (Westminster, CO) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Northfield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 61-35 non-league win over Adams City (Commerce City, CO).
