In Sunday's non-league outing, the Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Danville Vikings (Danville, IL), by a count of 67-46.
The Thunderbirds (9-8) will now prepare for their outing against Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL). The Raptors go into the Southland outing with a 11-4 record. In their last outing, Rich Township smashed Whitney Young (Chicago, IL), 68-62, in a non-league outing.
The Vikings now hold a 5-11 record. They play next when they host Urbana for a Big Twelve outing on Tuesday, January 9. Danville will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 65-38 league win over Bloomington (Bloomington, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 5-6.
