The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA) and the visiting Burlington-Edison Tigers (Burlington, WA), observed Anacortes's basketball team overwhelm Burlington-Edison by a score of 48-23.

The Seahawks (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Trojans come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Meridian was routed by Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA), 71-57, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Burlington-Edison will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 59-57 league win over Sehome (Bellingham, WA).
