Washington High School Basketball - Bellingham thwarts Oak Harbor

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA) and the visiting Oak Harbor Wildcats (Oak Harbor, WA), observed Bellingham's basketball team knock off Oak Harbor by a score of 71-58.
The Bayhawks (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lynden (Lynden, WA). The Lions come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 10-0 record. In their last challenge, Lynden prevailed over Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA), 64-56, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Sehome Mariners (Bellingham, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Friday, January 10. Oak Harbor will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Mariners come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 59-57 league loss to Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA).
