Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM), 58-35 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Kirtland Central upgrades its record to 5-7 on the year. The Broncos host Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 8. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 7-3. Navajo Prep lost 55-51 in their recent non-league match against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM)
The Eagles now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newcomb for a 3A District 1 match on Thursday, January 9. Crownpoint will face a Skyhawks squad coming off a 62-59 non-league loss to Cuba (Cuba, NM). The Skyhawks record now stands at 4-6.
