The East Webster Wolverines basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting J.Z. George Jaguars to 38 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wolverines now possess a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Mooreville for a 3A Region 4 game on Friday, January 10. East Webster will confront a Troopers team coming off a 68-56 non-league loss to Shannon (Shannon, MS). The Troopers record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, J.Z. George falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Eupora (Eupora, MS) to confront the Eagles in a 2A Region 4 game on Thursday, January 9. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 13-5. Eupora won 66-47 in their recent league game against Union (Union, MS)
