With the victory, Midland advances its record to 2-6 on the year. The Chemics host Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI) to meet the Cavaliers in a Saginaw Valley battle on Friday, January 10. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a record of 8-0.

The Knights now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beecher for a Genesee Area - Red challenge on Wednesday, January 8. Flint Southwestern Academy will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 47-29 non-league loss to Nouvel Catholic Central (Saginaw, MI). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-5.
