South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Glencoe Crimson Tide (Hillsboro, OR), 79-59 in a non-league match.

With the victory, South Eugene advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Axe travel to Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR) to face the Cavemen in a 6A Southwest match on Friday, January 10. The Cavemen enter the match with a record of 3-8. Grants Pass lost 72-58 in their recent non-league match against Summit (Bend, OR)

The Crimson Tide now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host McDaniel for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. Glencoe will face a Mountain Lions squad coming off a 71-59 league loss to Benson Tech (Portland, OR). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 3-5.
